I see not every glue is created equal and there's different glues for different folks.

1393563 2015-02-04 06:05:00 Hot glue gun, not really the best glue but the fastest, removable, and sticks to almost anything.
An old favourite for general purpose has always been UHU clear contact adhesive, and for joins that need to be strong I use araldite 2 part epoxy if it's suitable.
I guess superglue has it's place as well (mainly for sticking fingers together) but I find it's actually pretty limited in what applications it's suitable for.

So no one answer, use the right glue for the job. For example if you are gluing a downpipe you go get the proper adhesive as none of the ones I mentioned will do the job properly and whatever that stuff is called it actually melts and welds the plastic together forming a water tight seal but for different plastics it either won't work or it'll destroy them.

1393567 2015-02-04 09:25:00 Oh, I stopped reading that other thread before then or I'd have not bothered answering this one.
Was nothing interesting in it so I don't know why it went on so long.

I'd better not say too much because there's a Mod hanging around giving out warnings

Serious Mod stuff that, keeping the peace with his shiny Mod badge and hair trigger banning finger
