1393307 2015-01-30 04:48:00 At least the land is put to good use.
I would think NZ in general will benefit.

1393308 2015-01-30 05:41:00 I'm willing to bet the 'Native Reserve' they construct will be a pathetic joke.

I don't object to the sale however. In the event of sea level rise this 'land' will be money in NZ hands for absolutely nothing, and the new 'owners' will be needing waders.

Very stupid purchase in my opinion, and possibly a clever sale. Anyone else want to by some soon to disappear shoreline?

Ahhhh correction there Paul.

The money will never be in NZ hands, it will be siphoned offshore just like the other International Companies do.

Banks come to mind. ;)

Of course we could follow overseas protocols and not allow freehold title and insist profits remain within NZ which of course wouldn’t make things so attractive. :D

But, did you read the other sales?

I do agree though that the land in the Manakau is more of a liability than an asset.

The others not so. :D

I dont care what the commies paid for the islands they are in South Auckland and I wouldnt live there if even if it was the last place in New Zealand. Its good news really for once the commies have been seen off.

Nicely rounded argument there Pre, you seem to be getting much better at it of late.:<)

1393312 2015-01-31 22:58:00 Well this might have some of the Investors scratching their head.

“New Zealand's first Islamic KiwiSaver fund has been launched with a promise not to invest in alcohol, Western entertainment or pornography.”

It is February the 1st not April the 1st isn't it?

I guess this will be our new Flag later in the year after a rigged referendum. :D
