1393130 2015-01-28 00:42:00 Thank you folks for all the inputs although no positive solution achieved.

I've sent lightbox an email and hopefully they will provide me with a solution. :) BTW, do they have a phone service helpdesk? I prefer to talk to a real human. LOL

Or else, I may reinstall my Win8.1 which I am very, extremely reluctant to do so.

Unfortunately they don't have a phone helpdesk - just email... :(

You shouldn't need to do a Windows reinstall...

I just had a thought: Have a look at this thread: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz

I changed my DNS settings to Google and resolved the issue - since you're on Win8.1 and probably have a Technicolor router also, the same solution may work for you...

1393134 2015-01-29 20:06:00 Woohoo!

I have it on good authority that Chromecast support for Lightbox is coming, but no official release date just yet!

1393135 2015-01-29 20:43:00 Got a email reply from Lightbox yesterday:

" ...This seems like its an issue with Silverlight. Please clear your cache and cookies on your current web browser."

Doesn't help, really as I've done all those.

Anyway, I replied and told them that, just wait and see what can come out with ....

1393136 2015-01-30 03:07:00 As for the "free data" if a Spark customer uses Lightbox; I see this from Canada -

arstechnica.com

Data used via Lightbox is not zero-rated - usage is counted towards whatever cap you have on your plan (if applicable).

Lightbox is a service owned/run by Spark, but the service is available to *anyone* with a BB connection: Orcon, Vodafone, Snap, Actrix etc., and an appropriately supported device...

EDIT: The only *free* part for Spark customers is the monthly subscription, which customers on other providers will still need to pay
