Young guy gets caught on the way home the morning after and has low alcohol level, no aggravating features and it wouldn't even be an offence if he was a few month older. This type of case comes up in every Court every week and anyone with a half decent lawyer will get a discharge and so they should as it is good sentencing. Complete nonsense to suggest the "white kid" would get worse treatment, the truth is the white kid is more likely to get the discharge than the Maori or Pacific Island kid. |
