Both machines using 'Obtain an IP address automatically' , same DNS server: Preferred: 122.56.237.1 alternate: 210.55.111.1. 3. Older machine having Gigabyte X58A-UD3R i7 960 @3.20GHz 6GB RAM Win8.1 Pro x64bit --- achieves HIGHER download speed. :) 4. Swapped Ethernet cable, Router ports. 5. Newer machine having Asus Z97A i5-4690K @3.50GHz 8GB RAM Win8.1 Pro x64bit. -- achieves LOWER download speed. :( I would expect the newer machine to get higher speed rather the other way around! |
