They cant afford the current spending & are borrowing millions weekly just to run the country. so....cant afford what we have now, lets spend even more. NZ, 1 step closer to Greece every day (seriously) If a Convention centre was such a money spinner, wouldnt private enterprise be building them up & down the country without any handouts or dodgy deals. We looking at another white elephant . |

What, the Spin is we have a “Rock Star Economy”, if this constitutes such a thing. 6211 A country our size $5 Billion in debt and Key wants to build a monument to himself and have his photo on our flag of course. Well, I guess he needs to get things underway before he hands over the reins before the next election. ;) |

I certainly object to the Tax payers money being spent on it when there is such a lot of essential work to be done. Maybe JK and his fellow business friends should float a company to build one?
