| 1405075 | 2015-07-19 06:39:00 | Dell XPS circa 2008 with Vista Ultimate COA. Owner is of advancing years and has extreme (medical grade) dificulty coping with anything new (or even desktop icons moving to an unfamiliar position). HDD is toast, taking recovery partition with it. Ideally, would like to reinstall Vista and restore data from backup, but no Vista disk or image ... Any suggestions for a legitimate (or at least safe) source? Have mailed Dell, but not expecting much help gven the forum posts I've read. |
