| 1405026 | 2015-07-18 04:07:00 | Ok guys following on from my other post about "help with adding a SSHD". Have now got it installed currently in place of one of my 2TB HDDs and it is showing up as "this device is working properly" but no sign of it in WE. One poster said "don't forget when you add it you'll need to go to disk management and partition it before it'll show up in the system." How and where do I do this?! Very many thanks |

| 1405029 | 2015-07-18 04:56:00 | Thanks! Guess like anything if you are doing a task all the time it is easy but it's a bit daunting doing a one off. Had just tossed out a box with a heap of cables too and no retail shops here in the sticks (Queenstown) stock them so that's why just swapped over the disks. Will be interesting to see if there is any significant improvement with video editing. | stuffed (1469) | ||
| 1405030 | 2015-07-18 06:33:00 | When reading or writing new Data the hybrid drive just acts like a reasonably quick 7200rpm hard drive. When accessing data though if it's cached it is a lot quicker. I've used one as a boot drive and they are perfect for that when you can't use a proper SSD for whatever reason.
