1403974 2015-07-01 04:03:00 This printer is well suited to my needs but...

It does a "LOT" of self testing when I send a print to it, some times taking 2 minutes or more before it starts to print.
Some times if I send the same document to be printed again it will start immediately and sometimes it will self test all over again.

Search as I may I can find nothing in the manual about this or how to prevent it.

Does anyone know how to prevent this please.
Cheers.

1403975 2015-07-01 05:39:00 Do you mean its sits there cleaning the heads before printing....thats just the way they are now. 1101 (13337)
1403976 2015-07-01 06:09:00 Not sure what it is doing. It werrs, it buzzes, it goes backwards and forwards long enough for me to make a cuppa :-)
But what ever it is it wastes a lot of my time and I would like to stop it from happening.

1403979 2015-07-01 07:03:00 yea, head cleaning happens a lot, and wastes ink too. Seen a few printers like that, not much you can do other than make it print non stop. If you dont use the colour a lot, it will still run out.

Dont usually recommend inkjets these days due to not getting a lot of printing out of the cartridges.

Cheers,
