1393898 2015-02-09 22:37:00 Probably ok for people suffering from brain fade who are always forgetting to turn off their lights ? Terry Porritt (14)
1393899 2015-02-09 22:45:00 The fact is, I am waiting for the battery to charge b4 I go and get a trailer load of compost, it would be nice not to have to wait..

Still I do appreciate you technical answer.

At that cost couldn't you get a battery charger with maintenance mode....ie leave the car plugged into it all the time and it will keep it topped off nicely.

1393903 2015-02-10 00:29:00 Wouldnt a better solution be to get one of those mini lithium batt packs that you use for a one off car start, then recharge the mini pack for next time .
They are getting cheaper & cheaper

1393904 2015-02-10 01:00:00 I have a cheapo portable jump starter from super cheap auto. I was dubious about the tiny 7AH batteries ability to jump star a car but when one of my neighbours left her lights on it definitely did the trick. I always though this sort of functionality should be built into cars, my Camry at least turns it's own lights off after a few minutes. I guess it comes down to how often you'd benefit from it. What ever happened to powerbeat batteries? they were invented for the same reason. dugimodo (138)
1393905 2015-02-10 01:52:00 Thanks lads.
Had a look at Supercheap, there jump starts is $145.

I like the lithium battery idea, but that was in America.?

I have a battery charger that has maintenance mode, but wouldn't want to connect that every time I used car.
