468041 2006-07-02 10:11:00 When I click on IE it does not open.

Yet if I go via MSN messenger it does.

It's not a shortcut issue, if I go to the source C>Program Files>Internet Explorer>IEXPLORE.EXE it still won't open.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Simon

468043 2006-07-02 15:40:00 Just for kicks and giggles, install this to see if you are REALLY on IE when you think you are:

http://www.spoofstick.com/

But..get the one for Internet Explorer only right now...(there are two versions).

Unless you are running an older version of FireFox, it won't work and will be turned off.

So, just for now, run the IE version only.

Just one saying IE will shut down, and a tick box if I want it to restart - but it doesn't always show this - right now it won't do anythink when I click on IE.
Can still access it via msn though?!

Cheers, but doesn't solve my problem!

Not yet.

I wonder if it has something to do with Spinach Anti Spyware which is running, but I can't seem to find out how.

468048 2006-07-04 01:01:00 True...by itself, SpoofStick will not solve anything...but it will tell you if you are on a spoofed site...like maybe IE isn't really IE..OK?

It's just a tool to use..and keep running on your taskbar for either now or the future.

Just look at the url and see if it's the same as where you THINK you went when you clicked.

Am using this now .
I tried to run sfc /scannow in the cmd box, but I've lost my 2000 install CD :(
Can't seem to find the help I need on msn either .
Strange problem, helpdesk at Slingshot didn't know either!
