467842 2006-07-01 23:31:00 Hello,

I just bought a laptop yesterday and a wireless router to hook up to the pc, to network to my other computers. Thats all fine and dandy and set up great, but I cant get my dialup internet connection (cant get adsl) to share over the wireless.

Any idea on how I can go about this?

Cheers

467843 2006-07-01 23:35:00 Did u configure the ips manually?

Are u using an Access point? Is the router an AP as well?

467845 2006-07-01 23:54:00 An AP may help. Dont know if u need one tho.

Did u enter the ip address in manually?

Are u using a firewall as well as the router?

Dialup and wireless dont need a router either. I thought routers were only for adsl.

I have assigned ips. File sharing etc is fine, just the internet is not avalible on the laptop when it is on the other 2pc's.

467848 2006-07-02 02:08:00 You shouldn't need an access point. If they connect (as they do) for file sharing, you have all you need.

Just use the Microsoft ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) wizard.
