467791 2006-07-01 12:13:00 I'm upggrading a box which has a Gigabyte GA-8IPE 1000 Pro2 motherboard.

I've narrowed my options down to one of two in the sub $400 price range:

GeForce 6600 GT 256MB AGP @ +/- $395.00
GeForce 6800 GS 256MB AGP @ +/- $335.00

I'm unsure of the difference between the GS and GT specs - why would the GT be more expensive on theoretically a lesser card?

Thanks.

Get a 6600GT 128MB AGP instead. They go pretty cheap - I sell 'em for 280.

467793 2006-07-01 12:50:00 Buy the 6800GS, Killer card, killer price.

Though I don't know where you got such a high price for the 6600GT?...sure it wasn't a 6800GT?

467794 2006-07-01 15:08:00 Thanks. Got the prices from my regular dealer. yeah I might have got my cards mixed up, otherwise I'd naturally have gone with the 6800 which you've recommended before. Greg (193)
