467686 2006-07-01 09:27:00 I just reformatted my pc, and while installing windows, it said something like 'enter the names of the people using this pc, and windows will create the accounts for you'

I created 2. One for me, and one called 'everyone'.

I can not find the 'everyone' account anywhere. The login screen doesn't show it, the control panel > users screen doesn't show it...

The only reason I know it exists, is because when I try to create a new user called 'everyone', it says that it already exists.

Hmmmmmm.

How can I find it?

467687 2006-07-01 09:30:00 If you go

Start -> Control Panel

then select users all the users on the machine will be listed. You may need to add a new user if it isn't there.

467689 2006-07-01 12:13:00 You could just enable the Guest accountfor other people to use.

How many accounts show up in C:\Documents and Settings

467690 2006-07-01 12:15:00 "everyone" is a system group (hidden) therefore I am guessing that because is a reserved name your user by that name that you created was ignored. beama (111)
467691 2006-07-01 12:49:00 aah, must have been ignored then. Silly thing, it should have told me. mejobloggs (264)
