468584 2006-07-04 12:35:00 I am almost ready to partition C:\, but can't make a bootable CD with Ghost 2003: It dosen't have that option!

I am using XP Home, with 2 HD . Have backed up C to second drive using Ghost and now find that I won't be able to restore it without a floppy boot disc and my computer doesn't have a floppy drive .

Does anyone know of a way to make a boot CD for Ghost 2003?

Google didn't come up with anything satisfactory .

Is there a way around it by booting from the XP CD?

I won't have an OS when I partition C . :waughh:

468586 2006-07-05 00:03:00 From memory, I made a bootable CD using Nero, copying the Ghost 2002 files from the Ghost bootable floppy.
Of course you need to use a computer with a floppy drive to do that :)

468589 2006-07-05 02:01:00 Forget ghost use Gparted (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/). We have stopped using Ghost now. Boot of the GParted CD and copy the partition KiwiTT_NZ (233)

468591 2006-07-05 03:11:00 how about using some of the images here (oldfiles.org.uk).
The ones with red disc icons can be opened with Winimage and saved as .IMA images - which Nero can use to write a bootable CD. Then all you need do is copy ghosts.exe onto the CD as well and burn, burn, burn.

468592 2008-05-02 23:09:00 Not sure what's going on withthis thread's timestamp: states 2006. Anyway, this is what I used to make my Ghost ver.3 bootable CD.

Just follow the instructions & if you have only SATA HDDs make you use the /noide switch.

All the best.

All the best. The timestamps are correct. This thread is from 2006. A new member had posted in it today, and I moved their post (pressf1.co.nz) to a brand new thread. By moving their new post out of it I would have thought this thread would have dropped back into the original chronological order. :illogical

Anyway, this thread is from the archives so I doubt the original poster is still looking for advice. :)
