469284 2006-07-07 10:46:00 Sorry if this is not the right place for this question.

A friend of mine has one of those PCs with the perspex windows & flashing lights etc.

I wish to put one of these in mine.

Can anyone tell me where I could buy perspex from to do this?

Im in the Auckland region.

Any help you can give would be super!!!!!!!

:D

469285 2006-07-07 10:50:00 I asked around locally a while ago (in New Plymouth).
Glass places (like Smith Glass) sell it, but it is expensive.

Might be worth your while saving up and buying something like a Thermaltake (Soprano, Tsunami to name but a few) case or similar

469286 2006-07-07 11:01:00 I would love nice case later on . But for now what I am trying to do is remove the side access panel from my entry level Dell desktop & replacing it with a perspex window made to look nice with a couple of lighted fans stuck on it & maybe a light for the inside of the PC .

Pretty low grade stuff really for a low grade PC, but a fun & hopefully cheap way to make it look cool!!!

So you can see why I just need a piece of perspex .

Unfortunately I am not very reasourceful!!!!

Other than the aforementioned places, you could also ring around, some of the second hand places may have old perspex lying around and will be cheaper than new (but possibly scratched)

469291 2006-07-07 12:54:00 Thats cool but is above my goal.

I have spotted the LED fans I want in Dick Smith.

All I really need is a piece of perspex.

469292 2006-07-07 23:33:00 Well, I would just buy a new case altogether, then remove everything out of the dell case, and put everything in the new case.

One thats got a see thru side on it.

Finito
