| 469038 | 2006-07-06 07:38:00 | Oh the agony, I am encountering the inability to play AVIs, MIDs, MPGs, DVDs, WAVs, MP3s... You name it, I can't play it. Every time I play a media file, whether it be in Windows Media Player, Cyberlink PowerDVD, Intervideo WinDVD, iTunes, Video Lan Player (VLC), etcetera, I get error 80040154: Class not registered. Installing ffdshow, does not work Reinstalling Windows Media Player (11), does not work Reinstalling Direct X does not work Reinstalling Windows Media Codecs does not work Attempt to reinstall Cyberlink DVD only resulted in grief, with a whole list of files saying that they could not register properly. Updating Miscellaneous Audio Drivers did not work. Is this a Windows Fault? I don't wish to have to reformat the computer hard drive... HELP! |
