468976 2006-07-06 07:38:00 OK, I bought one of those game packs that are 4 not so new games for $20.
MOH Allied assault which plays great and another war one I cant remember the name or and C&C generals.

They all work great, but it has Lord of the rings battla for middle earth.
It installs ok and all but when it comes to playing the actual game it says it cannot detect midi and then shuts itself (the game only) down.

Is there a way to bypass that or should I just take it on the chin and leave it?

TIA

468977 2006-07-06 08:28:00 I seem to recall a thread here a year ot two back on this exact issue, there was no solution.

The newer sound cards are not compatable with the game coding from memory.

Sounds as though it's a chin job?

anyhow, Soundblaster audio card?

Someone has done a stripped down or partial driver install, Download the full package and install.
