It's a great machine but it has an annoying habit. I have it set up to "do nothing" when I close the lid, but when I do close it, all open windows shrink to 5" x 4" and stack themselves in the top left corner of the screen like a pack of cards. If I use the WinKey+D shortcut before closing the lid, when I open up again and toggle the shortcut, the windows still stack in the corner. It's a perpetual nuisance- my work pattern often involves having 10 or 12 windows open at once. With this problem I must resize them all every time I close the lid. I've had a number of notebooks set up in this way, but never struck this before. Is it a setting in some Dell utility which I haven't stumbled across yet? Intel Duo core T2500, XP Pro SP2, 2GB RAM, 100GB SATA 7200rpm, NVidea 256MB Ge 7900 GS, 17" 1920 x 1200 display. |
