| 470219 | 2006-07-14 09:07:00 | Well since this raid thing is causing complications i went to bios and set it to IDE instead of RAID. then booted win2k and errrr got another error. " File\i386\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded. error code is 32768" Also there was a option of disable instead of RAID,IDE. i set it to disable but the same error comes up. |

| 470220 | 2006-07-14 20:00:00 | I wouldn't have changed any BIOS settings as (I assume) it was booting OK into XP, the reason you can't install 2000 properly is because you have a SATA drive & you need to load those drivers when you install the OS as XP & 2000 don't have SATA drivers included, until you do this you will continue to have problems and changing settings will only make the hole deeper..... :D | snoopy (74) | ||

I was thinking to format my partition where XP is installed and install XP again due to some hardware upgrade. Will this effect my win2k acesss. |

No it will be fine, this is the MS recommended way of installing dualboots ie. Oldest OS 1st. Remember to use your floppy disk to install the SATA drivers during installation. |
