470514 2006-07-13 07:50:00 G'day out there,
is there any way that I can get rid of the stupid "user log on screen " ?I am the only person who uses my PC and I don't want to enter a password or log on as a user.

470515 2006-07-13 08:28:00 Logon - No Password

1. At a command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts
application.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then
click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name and password for the account you want to be
logged on each time you start your computer.

470517 2006-07-13 08:40:00 I am not sure about other OSes, but Tweak UI (www.microsoft.com) and Win XP, has a setting to automatically log on when the PC starts and still keeps the password... It is great, and so many options to get rid of 'annoyances'
