| 470492 | 2006-07-13 03:25:00 | Runnng Microsoft XP / Outlook Express 6 . Turned on Laptop and it tells me it is compacting my emails to free up disk space. Half way thru doing this I get a power cut . Turn back on PC an hour or two later when power restored and hey presto half of my email folders have nothing in them. I'm desperate to look back on previous emails and they arent there. HELP!!! | Peacock (10248) | ||

The entire message store can become corrupt, meaning you could lose all your mail messages. More information about compacting from this link www.insideoe.com If the damaged *.dbx file still exists, or its temporary version *.dbt, move it to a new empty folder in Windows Explorer. You can then try DBXtract or Macallan Outlook Express Extraction to extract what messages it can. www.oehelp.com macallan.club.fr |
