Ok I just did something stupid. Needing to quickly disconnect a usb hard drive, I went to the "safely remove hardware" in the WinXP task tray, and in the Properties option for the drive I disabled it. Now i can't find it anywhere!
I know it's not the hard drive itself, or the USB hub, they work fine. How can I change the registry entries, or the device properties, so that I am basically able to use the hard drive again? |

Tried removing it, refitting it, then Add Hardware in Control Panel? |

Yes, it does not appear in add hardware. |

Have a look in the Device Manager (with the drive plugged in) and you should see the drive with a red cross on it. Right-click it and select Enable. |
