| 470901 | 2006-07-16 00:27:00 | It didn't quite do the job for me. It re-encoded it, but totally screwed up the audio-video timing... I think I'll stick with Auto-GK :) Mike. I take it you mean the audio and video tracks came out-of-sync? Can I ask if this was on the same file that Auto-GK refused due to a dodgy audio track? |

Can I ask if this was on the same file that Auto-GK refused due to a dodgy audio track?Yes the same file - I don't think it was a dodgy audio track, just it was an unsupported audio type (being 128k WMA). The original file plays perfectly (and in-sync) on my PC, but does not play on the xbox. All the files that don't play on the xbox have the same type of audio track, and give the same problem in AutoGK, and all play fine on the PC. The file produced by that Super program ended up with a 62 hour long audio track, and the video track was the correct length when playing it in Windows Media Player 11... the video however plays REALLY fast and ends up that the audio plays in the correct time (not 62 hours) and the video ends in just a few minutes. When played by the Super program, and by the xbox they both play it seems (at first) at the correct pace, but the audio track is about 40 seconds out-of-synce about 5 minutes in, so I'm guessing that it'll end up much worse later on. The xbox only seems to allow for 10 second adjustment on the audio track. Mike. |

You could de-mux it (split the audio and video into seperate files) re-encode the audio track, then adjust its playtime to suit the playtime of the video, then run them back through AUTO-GK or something similar, most apps let you choose seperate sources for audio and video.... |
