| 470708 | 2006-07-15 06:09:00 | At the right angle the data is often "barely visible" apparently with the torch held up very close. It may depend on the screen construction but it has been shown as a working method to diagnose it by others, on other forums. Of course as my systems never fail, I have not needed to use it....Well your method worked well for me today, minus the need for a torch. I had a LCD which looked like it was turned off, but still showed it was powered on. I took a close look at the screen and sure enough you could just make out the desktop icons etc on the dark screen. |
