471355 2006-07-16 12:33:00 So i was thinking of using Windows XP accross 2 monitors, i know it can be changed in display properties to 2 monitors. But, on the back of my video card (ATI radeon 9800 xt) i have the normal outpt to the monitor and another different one, it has square pins down one end, can i get an adapter and plug my other monitor into this???

Cheers

471358 2006-07-16 20:57:00 Your graphic card has VGA (blue socket) and DVI (white socket) output. The DVI is used on LCDs which can use DVI (digital video interface). You can get an adapter that converts DVI to the standard VGA socket.

Are any of the monitors LCDs with DVI? If one is, then you can just get a DVI-DVI cable to connect up that monitor.

471359 2006-07-16 21:56:00 Thanks for the replies. Both monitors are VGA and dont have DVI inputs. I will dash over to DSE and get an adaptor,

thanks a lot for the info
