471680 2006-07-18 20:01:00 Hey everyone. I found the problem. It was my HSF. It didnt have to do with any mods, or the fan I put on it though. I turns out the short was caused because these small pins sticking out the back of my motherboard poked through the foam insulator on the HSF mounting bracking. When enough pressure was applied, like when I would tighten down the HSF a little bit, the pins would make contact with the bracket and short the mobo. Thanks for the help anyone, you guys pretty much nailed the problem on the head. Im back on the stock HSF now, and running great. There is way more room in my case now too. That big typhoon was huge. 1Bad (10764)
471681 2006-07-18 21:59:00 Yes, I thought that was the problem......as you cant see the underside, hard to identify the short.!!

Get some taller board risers for more clearance between the board and the case.
