472079 2006-07-19 07:21:00 Hi,

I am trying to implement an auto-fill feature on a web application I am developing, and am having problems with the javascript. Would any of the javascript gurus out there be able to help? Google has proved useless so far, but perhaps I'm searching for the wrong thing :D

The problem can be reproduced as follows:
1. Go to the website (home.pcresolutions.co.nz)
2. Login as guest:guest
3. Go to the 'view client' page
4. Type 'er' in the text box
5. Click one of the menu items that appears

The problem is caused by the menu-hiding process. I have the onblur event of the text box set to hide the menu. The issue is when a user tries to click one of the links in the menu - it seems to hide before the click is processed (the click is supposed to trigger more javascript). What I would like it to do is hide the menu after processing the click. Any ideas?

Thanks for that - it was a good idea, but utterly fruitless. I posted my problem three times over the space of about an hour, and received zero replies :(

472083 2006-07-21 04:34:00 Looks like I'm out of luck. I've put in a temporary (and very messy) workaround, but would still appreciate help on this. So far I've tried Google, PF1, #web and #javascript. Erayd (23)
