472051 2006-07-21 03:46:00 James -

In Photoshop there is a feature called "Actions", this is basically a way to setup macros. You can record your first one - resize to xx by xx size (you can even automate auto contrast, change to RGB, etc)

I must admit I've not had the time to learn this feature fully myself (Photoshop means neverending learning) - but it would do what you wanted to do... except arrange multiple pictures into one.

Good luck :)

472052 2006-07-21 11:39:00 Thanks for your suggestion, Mary, but at the end, I stuck to my own original method since it is much more easier.

Cheers :)

I am pleased that you have solved your problem regarding thumbnail pictures.

It would appear that you need more English lessons though.

"much more easier." should be "much more easy."

You could possibly use, "Thanks for your suggestion Mary. At the end, I stuck to my own original method, as it is easier for me."

You should note that I am not trying to denigrate you. I am just trying to help you with English.

Please bear in mind that I am not perfect with the language either.

472054 2006-07-21 13:23:00 The simplest way is to say "much easier."

And colloquially we say "in the end."
That may not make more sense, but English often doesn't - as you know.
(I suspect you're thinking of that wordy & hackneyed expression " At the end of the day.")

472055 2006-07-21 16:08:00 I see that several methods have been put forward, but I think this might be easier. Put all the component images in a Windows folder, then select 'Views,Thumbnails'; then copy and paste them to a graphics program Gimp for instance and arrange them as you like on the page. 472056 2006-07-21 19:28:00 James that site of yours looks great. Here's a suggestion though... instead of making thumbnails for the images on the front page, you could easier turn the large image into an image map, so that each individual part links to its full size image.

An example of what I'm talking about can be found here (www.flowerimex.co.nz).

472057 2006-07-21 23:00:00 Thanks for notifying me of my grammatical mistakes, Sweep (you can pick on my English if you want to, I don't mind :D ). No one is perfect...

Oh blunder, I should have known better than to use the phrase "at the end". Laura, I remember there are differences between "at the end" and "in the end". "At the end" is like "at that point", while "in the end" is refering to a situation where you have been hesitating or doubting about doing something, but "in the end", you decide how to do it.

Thanks for your suggestion Greg, but I prefer to sort the images according to what events they belong to by using thumbnails. Besides this, I think I have had enough of webpage editing ;p

Did anyone, by any chance, notice that the thumbnails are arranged in an "I" fashion? Link: jamesfiles.dannz.net.nz

Besides this, many thanks to PF1 members who had contributed helpful posts to this thread.
