| 473050 | 2006-07-24 01:46:00 | Hi, I am required to submit documents to a secure government website in TIFF format. I can print out my documents and then scan them as TIFF's, but it would be much easier with a printer driver that prints straight to TIFF. I have a PDF printer driver and so a PDF to TIFF converter is another option. As I can scan to TIFF for free, I am after a free software solution. Net searching has not come up with anything I could use for free. Anyone have something like this?? Cheers |

| 473052 | 2006-07-24 01:52:00 | I don't have Acrobat. I have the free reader, and a free pdf printer (CutePDF) but not acrobat. | echothreezero (6612) | ||

| 473055 | 2006-07-24 04:26:00 | You could tell the Government organisation that if they want computer input in a particular form that they should provide the tools to produce the input in that format. You could print out the information and post it to them. If they can't handle that "format" they shouldn't be entrusted with computers. (Apart from the fact that no government organisation should be entrusted with computers. The same goes for almost all commercial organisations.) |

Their tune is "print it and scan it or tough" When first brought in, we did post all the info in for them to enter. As of september 2007 we have to lodge electronically or we get shut out - too bad for us. So I'm getting prepared now as I want to be up with the play by next september. Busy trying to lodge my first electronic dataset - I'm about ready to throw my computer off a bridge - or myself, I haven't decided yet. |
