| 473014 | 2006-07-23 23:26:00 | Hey guys, I have two computers (both XP home) and I've run "Set up a home or small office network" and then I'dd clic on next, next and then "Other" to select the first option on the second page and then clic next next until finish and it usually worked before. I could see both computers and shared my files and printer. But now, on both computers it doesn't do anything. My connection is always limited or no connectivity. So if anyone could help me that would be sooo great. Thanks in advance. |

All you need to do is double click the 2 computers in the task bar, click properties, find "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)", click on properties, then choose "Use the following configuration" IP = 192.168.1.2 Subnet = 255.255.255.0 Same on both computers, but change the last digit of the IP (eg 192.168.1.3) HTH Edit: Suppose I could have directed you to the relevent page in the FAQ (faqf1.net.nz) |
