| 472675 | 2006-07-22 02:18:00 | Is it possible to plug a traditional tube tv to a tv tuner card of a pc?......if so, using what? | zahmad (8963) | ||
| 472676 | 2006-07-22 02:27:00 | It depends, what is the TV Tuner card? It needs to have an A/V Output on it, I have the Hauppague Win TV PVR-350 and it has a connector that I plug a breakout cable that it came with into it, and I can watch TV... On the TV :illogical :D BUT if you are meaning viewing the whole PC as in using the PC on the TV, then no way, you need a GFX card with VIVO, or similar. In short, yes you can but it depends on the TV Tuner you have/get. HTH :thumbs: |

Only thing is, its better if u have a nvidia based videocard, you can see whats on the TV and do whatever on the pc screen. You cant do this with ATI vidcards. With ATI cards, what u see on the TV from your PC, is what you'll get on the pc screen. You wont be able to browse the net and watch the tv at the same time on the pc screen. Without switching between the 2. |

So if the question is, can you connect a TV to the Antenna socket of a TV card and see a picture on the TV as a second monitor the answer is still no. You are connecting two inputs together. This may not be what you intend, just want to make it clear though. |

You are connecting two inputs together. You are right there, but some TV Tuners have an A/V output, I know this because I have one of them, this only outputs the input signal (antenna) to the TV (output) |
