| 473149 | 2006-07-24 11:11:00 | Hi Guys I have a machine one year old with XP and 2 IDE hard drives C and D. I have just bought a new Seagate 160meg harddrive SATA that I want to install as my E drive to store some more data. I have conected the drive and my Award BIOS seems to detect it, but XP will not recognise it in Explorer or My Computer. I think I need some SATA drivers. I have a floppy that came with my motherboard, but all that I have read says how to install these on a new system not an existing one. Is there anyway I can install them from my system or can I install them from Microsofts site ? Regards Digby |
