1405671 2015-08-01 04:24:00 Was given a Lenovo pc from the family of a friend who died.Decided to try installing Win10 on it so I can check my programs will run on 10.
It's got Win 7 Pro on it,with a product key on the side.

Ran the downloaded iso for Win 10 Pro,and it stalls at the "enter Product key" screen.Says it's not correct.
Ran Magical Jelly bean finder and it finds the same product code as on the sticker.

On the screen from Magical JB

Installed from "OEM" Media.Product ID ........OEM........................match to CD key data
CD key............the same as on the sticker.

Any suggestions please!

1405672 2015-08-01 04:26:00 Should also say that after updates it is showing the "Update to Win10" notice in the toolbar. Neil McC (178)
1405673 2015-08-01 04:27:00 You don't enter a product key, select "Skip" As long as the current W7 product key is activated it should carry on. wainuitech (129)

All going slowly now!

All going slowly now! Once its done the first install/upgrade from within windows, THEN you can do a fresh install if you like from a empty Hard Drive.

have a read of Post # 7 -- Explained it all pressf1.pcworld.co.nz in that :)

So far done two fresh installs on the test PC, ( Dont ask :p) no problems activating both times.
