If she went to the FB app can you also turn off notifications as she doesn't want her phone continuously sending her alerts? I can't advise as don't have FB. Thanks |

| 1405492 | 2015-07-27 22:57:00 | A guide for making my nexus 7 (2012) perform better under lollipop said to remove the facebook app and use the mobile website instead to free up resources and increase battery life. Apparently the app is constantly checking for updates regardless of settings and can be a contributing factor to poor battery life and slow performance. I don't know how bad it really is or how much truth is in that but I can tell you following the recommendations made my nexus 7 run a whole lot better after lollipop slowed it down to basically unusable. Guide here if you want to read through it docs.google.com Quote: I can't stress this one enough!!! Too many Nexus 7 users having problems with performance are using the Facebook App that Facebook has in Google Play store. This can not be a coincidence. I -HIGHLY!!- recommend that you un-install the Facebook App itself, and use Facebook with a browser such as Firefox or Ghostery until you stabilize your Nexus 7, and/or until Facebook updates their application. Some users have reported great success using the App "Tinfoil for Facebook", available on Google Play, for Facebook. You may also want to try "Facebook Lite" which appeared on Google Play recently |
