| 1394626 | 2015-02-19 05:49:00 | They look like nice people. Most Chileans I know are hard workers. But it just shows what happens when the hormones kick in.... Their daughter Kate was born here. |

| 1394627 | 2015-02-19 23:09:00 | They have been in NZ since 2004 and so far have a clean record, and are workers. They should be allowed to stay. Pity we can't deport some other parasites who are NZ citizens. Its just bullshit and paper work. JK do it! | mzee (3324) | ||
| 1394628 | 2015-02-20 03:23:00 | Look like nice people.... are workers... sure but they have deliberately stayed here illegally for nearly 11 years. If they had done it properly and applied to move here from the get go I'd have more sympathy for them, but to work illegally and without a permit and not to apply for citizenship until it hits the fan shows a lack of respect for NZ law to me and really seems like deliberate attempt to avoid our immigration law. I do hope they get to stay for the sake of their children but at the same time I wouldn't want this sort of behaviour encouraged. If it seems like all you have to do to stay in NZ is have a kid here and stick around a few years we could end up with a lot of these cases. |

| 1394629 | 2015-02-20 03:43:00 | .... are workers... . not for a while it seems. Perhaps thats due to their residency issues ? "After stopping work a year ago, his savings ran out last month, and the family relied on the income of Mauricio Jr." If we make an exception for them, do we need to also make exceptions for all overstayers Do we need to be harsh with this sort of thing, to ensure the wrong message about overstayers in NZ doesnt get around . |
