| 1394978 | 2015-02-26 20:12:00 | 1 Get a new wife or 2 Ask her what will she do when Windows 10 comes out this year, then 11 and 12 ? 1. Overall, my present wife is ok. 2. When she hears that W10 is out, she would probably ask, "Do we have to do anything?" A possible scenario is that sometime this present MB could fail, and I then find that a new one will not even accept WXP, as happened before regarding W98. |

Because his wife would never give financial approval to upgrade his PC and he was a keen gamer he would every couple of years save up some money on the sly and bring it round to my place to "fix" something that had mysteriously gone wrong and we would build a new machine into the old box (it had to look identical from the outside). His wife not being computer savvy would never know the difference. One of the amusing side effects of this was he ended up with a PC in a shitty old beige box with no front USB ports and running XP many years after windows 7 was out and front USB was common. I always got a laugh out of him climbing under the desk to plug a USB stick in round the back. Last year I took pity and donated one of my old cases to the cause and also to save me building anything else into that bloody case. |

| 1394980 | 2015-02-27 00:20:00 | Mmmm. Reminds me of my days back when I was a grocery sales rep. One of my lines was Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. (the original and of course the most exe) One day I was in a supermarket filling the selves and this lady came up to me and said "Have you any of the Whitlocks (cheaper) Worcestershire sauce?" I said "No - here is the real thing - L&P" She said "Oh no that is far too dear I buy the Whitlocks and then pour it into the L&P bottle so that my husband thinks he is getting L&P" I said "Ok, but what else are you hiding from him....." |

[/QUOTE] That's exactly what I have, but there is a USB extension cable plugged in round the back to make things easier. The beige colour is ok though. |

| 1394982 | 2015-02-27 02:15:00 | To be fair the whitlocks is still a very good sauce. There are very cheap watery budget versions of worcestershire sauce I'm never buying again but I'd be happy enough with whitlocks as a substitute for lea & perrins. | dugimodo (138) | ||
| 1394983 | 2015-02-27 06:24:00 | Whitlocks was an excellent sauce, better than L&P to go in during the cooking, but not as good for use after cooking. However, since the Aussies bought it, took it offshore and changed the recipe I believe you could get prosecuted if you spilled any in a waterway. The colour is ok, but as sauce, it is about as much use as a Harbour Master on Ayers Rock | R2x1 (4628) | ||
