Then contacted them again about a refund, which they agreed too. When they didn't actually refund me after agreeing they would, I couldn't be bothered wasting any more time on such poor service, and just used NZ Post next time instead. |

I wanted to send some perfume back to America,got a flat refusal from them, mate has a fire arms business, used to send thousand of dollars worth of kit, then out of the blue we don't send firearms. Other chap wanted some arrow shafts from America, via NZ post off, these shafts have no relationship to weapons, in as much at this stage they were just pieces of aluminium pipe, they refuse to handle these because they were weapons, anyway after days of shenanigans he got them to send. That was a chance encounter, how business have these clowns let go. Latest they want to have a 3 day delivery week. Great management, top man probably on 350K. It is my understanding that it is USA who are very prickly about any liquids arriving in their country by mail. Other services? Well, IMHO it is often typical of an orgnisation that once had a monopoly in their field to be completely out of their depth when it comes to real world competition. |

But seriously, NZ Post & customs are having a clampdown on restricted goods. As are many countries post & courier services, its an international thing, not just NZ. Ive heard of many stories in the last 6 months of couriered/posted batts & glue being stopped at the border(NZ & overseas), confiscated & the whole package destroyed...yep, you can loose everything in the parcel , NZ post destroy the whole lot regardless. Its a little thing of packages catching fire, in planes & on the ground while being processed . So theres a clampdown on restricted goods everywhere. |
