1405901 2015-08-05 04:55:00 I have d/l Thunderbird setup - when I try to run it I get the message "7 Zip - Cannot create temporary folder archive".... How can I fix this please and run the setup for Thunderbird.... Where did you get Thunderbird From ? Its a exe file not a zipped file. Official download www.mozilla.org

Do any other exe files work OK, it could be the file associations have gotten muddled up ?

7Z can create self extracting exe files.

1405904 2015-08-05 05:30:00 Does 7Zip come with Windows 7 - otherwise I cannot imagine why it is on my computer... used to have Winzip but that is many moons ago..... so presently I am stuck with no being able to run the exe file... sigh.... I can see the level on the wine bottle descending at a rapid rate... grin Bryden (4161)
1405905 2015-08-05 05:32:00 It doesn't, it will be part of the exe file. Alex B (15479)
1405906 2015-08-05 05:38:00 Ah - so how do I run the file? Bryden (4161)
1405907 2015-08-05 05:42:00 It should just work, try download again but go run instead of save. Alex B (15479)
1405908 2015-08-05 07:45:00 Unfortunately I cannot choose run - as soon as I click on the Download link, it opens to be saved on my computer.... Wonder if I am the only one to have this problem - Bryden (4161)

Have the same problem if trying to upgrade flash on FF, damn thing wants to save, no options :yuck:
