1394209 2015-02-12 03:54:00 Does every baker have an award winning pie. Seems that way locally, many have a little 1st,2nd,3rd pie award certificate displayed.
These pies really arnt anything special, just another generic, yet award winning, pie. None seemed as good (to me), as the old Ponsonby Pie's

Same for coffee.
Just how many award for pies & coffee get given out ? Conspiracy? Is John Key somehow involved, again? I bet he denies it .

Different types....and so on.
Rather like wine awards really.

I don't like Ponsonby pies.....I like Makatu - especially the smoked fish.

1394213 2015-02-12 06:12:00 check what the award is from.
its probably like the wine industry, most of the awards are just made up. one just another advertising tool to trick you into buying theirs.

1394214 2015-02-12 06:31:00 It may well be a pie in the sky. Of course it will be JK's fault!!;) Didn't he put in his thumb and pull out a plum, or do I have the wrong nursery rhyme?
If near Bethlehem/Tauranga try Patrick's Pies. I'm not normally a pie eater but I never say no to one from there.
