| 474023 | 2006-07-27 07:21:00 | Put the XP cd in, reboot go into the bios, and change the bootdisk to the cd. Save the bios settings. Then once the cd gets to the install menu, select format, install XP, and wait for it to finish. |

I don't think it's illegal to get one without the key . . . they are indeed copyable . . . it's just the key that is protected and sold actually in the long run . There are many sites that will let you dnld almost anything . . . . but the key is the . . . er . . . "KEY" as it were . One thing I'd do . . . is install a little help in the form of SiteAdviser (http://www . siteadvisor . com/) to help you cull out the bad sites and find a good one for the cd-dnld . Use it in health . . . it's free and although the name "McAfee" is attached, they haven't mucked it up . . . yet! |
