474692 2006-07-30 04:47:00 If you're in Auckland have a look at these.

1. Canon iP1600 Pixma Bubble Jet Printer (www.eoneonline.co.nz)

2. Epson Stylus C45 InkJet Printer (www.eoneonline.co.nz)

3. Epson Stylus C67 Injet Printer (www.eoneonline.co.nz)

4. HP DJ3940 Colour Inkjet Printer (www.eoneonline.co.nz)

5. HP Deskjet 5440 Printer (www.eoneonline.co.nz)

6. Lexmark Z617 A4 Colour Inkjet (www.eoneonline.co.nz th+USB+printer+cable.html)

7. Lexmark Z735 Inkjet Printer (www.eoneonline.co.nz)

Hope that helps.

Cheers

474693 2006-07-30 04:56:00 Are they in any sort of order. gum digger (6100)
474694 2006-07-30 05:04:00 If u can spare another $70, u could get a Brother MFC-215C (www.dse.co.nz)

It was $168, when I got it. But it's gone up $20.

Not bad for a scanner/printer/scanner/fax and card reader onboard.

It can also be flashed/updated with a program u get on the Brother site.

474695 2006-07-30 05:33:00 I would avoid the Epson printers which use the T0631-634 series of cartridges. They go through ink like mad - I'm up to my 5th black ink cartridge so far this year. somebody (208)
474696 2006-07-30 05:47:00 Forget the Lexmarks. Thats like a Fujitsu HDD or an ECS MB. pctek (84)
474697 2006-07-30 19:56:00 I have just done the same research to buy a printer.

Here are my conclusions from reading reviews on the net..

Avoid brother, used lots of ink and made lots of ink spills.
Epson are expensive for ink, and sometimes demand a new cartridge when the old one is not empty.

Canon came out as the best value for me.

And suprise suprise the cheapest near me at $99 was in Noel Lemmings
You not only get a printer, but a scanner & photocopier as well! Aint technology amazing.

So I bought one and I'm happy with it so far, good colors and good black.

The 110 was missing something, I forget what, the 170 had a card reader that i didn't need.

But the 150 seemed on the ball

474698 2006-07-30 20:15:00 Definately stay away from the cheaper Brother inkjet printers.

Also, be careful with refilling your ink cartridges as this usually voids any warranty on the machine if the ink causes problems with the print head etc.
The amount of machines that come to our shop for repair due to refilled ink cartridges failing or causing other problems is very high!
