| 474541 | 2006-07-29 06:45:00 | Am about to install above. Had look at site & theres a few things there. 1) AVG Free for Windows installation files. 2) Documentation for AVG Free For windows a)License agreement for AVG Free b) AVG Free edition reference guide Do I have to install 1 and 2a&,b ? If so is there any particular order I should download and install them, eg 2 before 1. And I cant see yet how big the files are, so on dial up does any one a rough idea how long it would take, Also after downloading and installing do I have to do an update straightaway?? (thought I do the firewall later) Thanks |

Yes, you do, as that is the program... 2. they are not install files, they are just documents on AVG Free and tell you about it and all that stuff, these are a seperated download and are not needed, but I suggest you download them and read them, can't hurt and that way you will know that your PC is protected. Wow, the currect version is rater large, at 16.5mb... |

It should be about 16MB in size, which on dial up should give you than enough time to start the dowbload and go have a nice hot cuppa (or two). Updates should be done straight away too if possible, but thats part of the instillation process anyhow. Or you could just buy a pc mag as these programs quite often come on the cd thats inside the magazine.(anti-virus, anti spyware, firewall etc). |
