474951 2006-07-31 03:57:00 Have downloaded latest version of firefox and need a bit of help.

Is there any way to save tabs when closing down. ie.so they will be there when I next open Firefox??????????

Alternatively is there any way to get a column of favourites as in IE ?

I dont like having to go into bookmarks and search for URLS every time I start up.

474952 2006-07-31 05:32:00 Hello Jack. There is a nifty Firefox extension named Tab Mix Plus. Website -> addons.mozilla.org

Cheers :)

474953 2006-07-31 05:38:00 Have you got a "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" and have you ticked "Bookmarks Toolbar" (right-click top menu bar). If I interpret correctly you're wanting a toolbar with a row of favourite categories - like "News" "Reference" "Services" (quoting my own toobar). Each of those opens up a list of URLs.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.

Aw Jack, why didn't you download Opera instead of Firefox? Opera can do all those little tricks and heaps more without having to frig around finding and installing extensions. :dogeye:

474958 2006-07-31 08:30:00 Did you get your bookmarks displaying down the left-hand side or not? Jen (38)
474959 2006-07-31 08:34:00 Only way besides plugins I tried is to type the sites u want in under
tools/options/general tab / home page.

Then type in whatever sites followed by a shift | (\ which is above the enter key).

The | is another way of using enter/return.

Like www.ihug.co.nz|www.pcworld.co.nz|www.nzherald.co.n z

When u open FF again, it'll open all 3 (or more sites) at the same time, in different tabs.
