| 475300 | 2006-08-02 09:50:00 | Are the beeps during POST or at random times while the computer is running? Are you doing anything in particular at the time, like pressing and holding down more than one key at the same time? | Jen (38) | ||
| 475301 | 2006-08-02 19:02:00 | I think Jen has hit the nail on the head. I have a major problem with holding down two mouse buttons at the same time.I hadn't associated this with the beeps before. I've spent an hour this morning testing and while it doesn't happen every time, it doesn't beep without two buttons being pressed. Don't know what to do about this. I tried switching off the right button, but while it does the job, I still need the functions. I had a simliar problem with the keyboard. Third and fourth fingers dropping on to the keys, when they are supposed to be hovering. Cured that by reverting to two fingure typeing. Oh the joys of growing old. :annoyed: :( :( |

| 475302 | 2006-08-02 20:52:00 | Oh the joys of growing old. :annoyed: :( :( You're not the only one with this problem Jack, and I don't know of any upgrades that could help either. A close friend of mine was suffering from some sort of performance slow down and tried that viagra stuff......both him and the wife. He said it didn't help the performance issue at all and he died soon after (stroke). I don't know why I'm telling you this  |
