| 475976 | 2006-08-04 09:18:00 | Yes, its officially dead. Laid to rest...$250 dollars for a drive that lasted only 26 months. Wouldn't touch WD again. Had Seagate (with at least 3 yrs warranty) in other systems and seem to be fine. The thing I can't understand is why it went so suddenly.. :angry Just as well my files are back up except for emails and contacts....possible to get them back without too much of a problem? |

Ah yes the truth comes out :groan: I do touch WD hard drives - with a very big hammer :angry I've seen quite a few in Macs and they die rapidly. Bad luck. |
