| 476655 | 2006-08-07 00:33:00 | Hi, I need to find software, preferrably free, that would allow me to capture audio from the line in port on my computer as an MP3 file or similar. Does anyone know of any such software, and where I might get it from? Also, the audio is on a microcassete, the player for which only has an earphone output (2.5mm, I think). What sort of quality can I expect, running this through the line in port? I don't know what sort of amplification the player (it's a dictation machine) has... Cheers Lizard |

There is some control within the software to lift the levels, but this will be constrained by the base quality of the tape . Good luck Hesky |
