Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using some form of laptop cooling pads to lower running temperatures and hopefully extend lifetime of components etc. If so what can they recommend?

Cheers

My daughter uses one...keeps the thighs from cooking....maybe the processor and the internal guts too..the laptop, not her's. :D

Here's a pix of hers:

Probably the best thing is having the laptop raised up slightly... ie on a desk but with a bit of ventilation room underneath. You can also get those gel pads from the chemist that you can put in the freezer but they remain fluid, one of those shoved under it would help.

OOPS!

Just enter the number 92582 in the blank area and it'll take you there....

476708 2006-08-08 02:44:00 Must it be 92582? Wouldn't 92582 or 92582 or 92582 be just as good? Graham L (2)
476709 2006-08-08 03:11:00 can you do it in hex? SurferJoe46 (51)
476710 2006-08-08 22:50:00 Much better :) I think it particularly likes the red myself.

I found some fairly good reviews for it also but have struggled to find a reseller in NZ so far.
