| 476312 | 2006-08-06 01:16:00 | Just wondering if there is anything special I have to do to reformat a laptop or do I just do as I usually would with a desktop (put XP cd in, boot from it, reformat the drive and then reinstall XP on the formatted drive). The laptop came with a recovery cd, what exactly is on that cd and do I need to use it?? LOVING this auckland weather ....... Thanks James |

The "Recovery CD" usually contains all the drivers, and the bundled software and utilities programs. It should reinstate you laptop to it's 'original' state when you first launched it. Cheers |
