| 477422 | 2006-08-09 08:56:00 | I have been using the instructions on www.enterprisenetworkingplanet.com to integrate a Samba 3 installation on an Ubuntu 6.06 box with a Windows 2003 server Active Directory domain. Everything works fine and I've gone through the whole thing following the instructions. However, on the very last step, testing with: # getent passwd fails with only local users being listed. The most annoying thing is that there is no instruction whatsoever as to what should be done in the event of this test failing on the webpage providing the instructions  . I'm making a desperate plea, if there's anyone out there who can explain how I can fix this problem and finally get my Samba installation fixed, please post here. I've been trying to get this server going for eons and now after coming so close this one thing has failed me miserably :help: . |

I really like this http://www.sftpdrive.com/ You can try it for 6 weeks before you have to purchase. I vowed & declared I'd never buy this sort of software for what is virtually a hobby; but I liked it so much I bought it. |
